A national housebuilding firm has revealed it was among the major winners at the recent What House Awards.

Linden Homes was given the silver award in the Best Large Housebuilder at the ceremony, which was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London's Park Lane at the end of November.

According to the firm, it was recognised for its efforts to provide "meticulous attention to detail" in most aspects of its construction processes.

Nigel Palmer, managing director of Linden Homes Western, said the company was "delighted" with the award.

"Building homes is not just bricks and mortar, at Linden, we are dedicated to creating homes that will stand the test of time both in terms of design as well as structure," he added.

Linden Homes was recently highly commended in the Best Customer Satisfaction Initiative category at the recent Housebuilding Innovation Awards.

The major industry event, which was devised by Housebuilding magazine and the Home Builders Federation, was hosted by BBC Radio 4 presenter John Humphrys.
